About this product
The Rane Four is a four-channel, two-deck DJ controller with advanced stems capabilities. It features 16 performance pads, built-in effects including reverb, filter, echo, and more. It has two mic inputs, two phono inputs, and two line inputs. Outputs include XLR, 1/4" TRS/TS, and 3.5mm TRS, plus digital S/PDIF in/out. The controller is USB-powered and has a 24-bit/48kHz sampling rate. It supports Serato DJ Pro (likely) and is designed for tabletop use.
Our take
The Rane Four is a powerful controller for Serato users who want stems control. The four-channel layout with two decks gives plenty of room for mixing, and the 16 pads are great for triggering samples and loops. The built-in effects sound good, and the build quality is solid with a metal chassis. I appreciate the phono inputs for turntables. However, the price is steep, and the controller is large for a tabletop unit. The learning curve for stems manipulation can be steep, but once you get it, it's a game-changer.
